i played with clay thismorning at hope academy... we made snowmen. and the boy i worked with quickly realized that if he did something spectacular, i'd still give him a high five (his reinforcement for being patient or using good eye contact... etc) .. even if he had goopy clay hands. soooo by the end of art class, i had clay all over me. the situation made me think of the potter. and goopy high fives with God?
"Turn yourself around like a piece of clay and say to the Lord: I am clay, and you, Lord, are the Potter. Make of me what you will."
St. John of Avila
