i was about to write an entry on tiredness...
... but as i was about to start, i heard someone barge through the front door, drunkenly scream "BIRDYYYYYYYYYYYYY," stumble into my room, and yell at me for not being out with friends.
i went out tonight, i promise. i just have church in the morning... and i'm exhausted. when o-week is over, i'll be all over it.
so he proceeded to lay down in the bathtub and complain that i'm not around.
it's all o-week's fault.
:) yay, furman.
today was nice.. slept far too late, judged all the halls with spirit committee, went to walmart, put together a bulletin board, hung up some pictures, went out to liberty for tyner's birthday, then came back and put together some things. misa in the morning with FATHER jeff kirby saying the homily (how crazy is that?), then presidents picnic and setting up for the fusab drive-in movie! then hopefully seeing the bf in greer for a bit.
i don't know.. i've been feeling funky lately. usually that's a bad thing.. but for me, funky is good right now. i'm really really happy.. joyful, even. there's just a peace in my heart right now that usually isn't there... and for once, i feel like the big things in my life are pretty much worked out just fine. no, i haven't found a job yet.. i haven't bought books.. i haven't finished decorating... but i have my family and i have my faith and i have my love and i have the best friends in the world. and that's enough for me.
furman just feels different to me. i want to see all of my friends, i want to spend time with people... but i also kind of want to sit in peace and paint and listen to music and spend time with one person at a time... my introvert side is temporarily kicking in, i suppose. it's just weird because a year ago, i would do anything to avoid alone time. now, i crave it.
al and i were driving to and from liberty blaring music and talking.. and she brought up how different this o-week is compared to last year. nothing is the same. nothing. but it's so good. God yanked the rug out from under me and replaced it with a cloud. i complained at first.. but now that i've settled in, it's cozy.
i'm making no sense. i need sleep.
gnite!
