so every day i have about 15 minutes of angry-stay-away-from-me-bridgette-time. and today they lasted a bit too long.
i'm just stressy. i have to babysit tomorrow but i dont have a car, so my parents have to drive me.. and they're extremely unreliable when it comes to getting places on time. i always have this flashback to when i was in middle school and mom forgot me at the orthodontist. i know, i should be over it by now. but i'm not.
okay, maybe i am. but it still comes to mind.
and i bought kitchen stuff for the apt. and it was expensive. and i'm broke. and i'm trying to apply for jobs but i'm still not 100% sure i'll have a car to get me there. blasted buick. no pun intended.
and i miss people. lots of people. cory, of course. and furman people, too... people that i haven't even missed until now, and now i just miss them a whole bunch. and i left the school year on a weird note with some people.. and i don't like that. i don't do well with people floating in and out of my life. it's like someone walking into your house and leaving the door open in case they want to leave. they let mosquitos in.
i hate mosquitos.
so yeah, those are my pessimistic blubberings.
on a happier note, i sat down and read scripture last night. camp got me in a funky habit of journaling and praying the Rosary but getting away from scripture.. honestly because it's hard to read with a flashlight and by the time i was done journaling i was too tired. it was refreshing and fantastic. went through some stuff in Romans and just let it seep in... a lot about humility and how everyone has different relationships with God and how we can't measure people by our own spiritual lives. we can't understand God, we can't put Him in a box. reminded me of St. Therese... comparing all of our faiths to different sized jars... God fills each of us to the brim, and if we look at our fullness, the different sizes won't matter. such a simple idea. such a beautiful idea
okay, off to bed. babysitting at 7:30 in the morning.. woohoo!
see the world, find an old-fashioned girl...
