the night i only had three more nights :)

today was quite an eventful day. big accomplishments include...

having a mini-meltdown about life. my teeth were killing me (yeah, no good.. its been a few days, they shouldn't be anymore), i was nauseated from all the salt water i was gargling, dad suggested i not move in on wednesday if i didnt have a car because it really wasn't necessary (no, dad, it is.), and i was a little overwhelmed with packing stuff. so i started crying. haven't cried in a long time. it felt good though, i think.

getting most of our kitchen stuff purchased. i'm so excited about having a kitchen. i've been trying to cook more this summer.. i want to eventually be that grandma that can take a scarse cupboard and create a masterpiece by throwing a pinch of this and a fistful of that into a saucepan.

eating couscous. haven't eaten couscous in forever, and it was delicious. first week at school with the roomies i want to have a couscous and curry night where we turn on indian music and eat on the floor. i love the idea of eating on the floor. fond memories of dorm life :)

sorting the craft bins. may not sound like a big deal, but it certainly was. i took everything and put it in ziplocks.. solid paper with solid paper, printed paper with printed paper, tissue paper with tissue paper, ribbons in one bag, stickers in another, blank stationary, not-blank stationary, and holy cards, vocation cards, and trinkets. (that last bag is quite fascinating). got everything into one underbed storage tub. and those things are tiny. it was incredible.

bought a car. kind of. we'll get it on monday... it's beautiful. 2000 infinity i30... its a bit like the buick but not elderly. and no seat heaters. i think i'll just put in a complementary basket of first aid head packs that guests can use to toast their buns, if they desire. but no, its lovely... leather seats, power everything, sunroof... i'm really excited. as long as no one outbids us before monday. we put money down on it, but the official trade off is monday at 7pm. i can't wait.

(and of course we find this out as i still have tears streaming down my face from my mid-day-mini-meltdown... God has such a sense of humor)

finished the office season 2. so i've now finished watching all of them. except for the valentines day episode on season 2. couldn't get it to stream right.

used a water pusher thingie on my quasi-infected mouth. hurt like crazy but feels so wonderful.. all the nasty stuff got blasted out so it can heal right. i hate going to the dentist. or anyone like the dentist. hate it all. but now my mouth doesn't have the nasty infected taste. much better. (gross, right?)

so that was yet another mundane day of prepping for the year in charleston. i miss school and greenville people. and my greenville life. charleston life is full of to-do lists and doing those things that don't seem to bring us closer to God

how do we make the little things count? life is so full of them...

goal for tomorrow: make the little things count.
